Midi File to Trinity help please
I've some old sequences written in Cubase SX and I have been trying to save them to disc (exporting using Export midi command) and load into my Trinity +
The files are saved as a .mid file but when i try to load on the trinity the screen just says unformatted disc.
So i've also tried formatting the disc 1st in the trinity then saving the .mid file again to disc on my PC but then the PC says unformatted disc.
Some help would be lovely please
(Sorry if this is a regular topic, scanned a few pages but couldn't find anything)

cheers for the replies
I recently reset the trinity to factory using the floppy disk so i know that it works ok in both the trinity and my pc.
I'm using Windows XP but cheers for the offer
will have another play with it tonight to see if i can solve it. I've downloaded some standard midi files off the net to try also to make sure its not something in Cubase SX which is causing the issue.
thanks again

hmmm, now i'm really scratching my head.
both disk drives saving and reading fine on their own, but still a formatted disk on the pc says unformatted on the trinity and a formatted disk on the trinity says unformatted on the pc.
saving a midi file on a formatted disk from the pc plays on another pc i have but it won't read on the trinity.
so i'm all out of ideas and becoming desperate!
Froilán would appreciate if you could send me the registery fix just so i can try, even though i am using XP.
ta!

More detailed info on the registry fix may be found on Eddy Deegan's site, more specifially here.
The fix itself (in the form of a 1Kb Registration Entries file and a 2Kb instructions text file) can also be downloaded from Esound. It is included in the 7Mb zip file Korg Trinity Utilità.zip (free registration possibly required for this download). And of course if you pm me your e-mail address, I'd be happy to mail you the fix - if you haven't got it already from Froilán.
But, afaik it is really only for WIN95. The problem you describe could also be caused by a slight misalignment of the heads of your Trinity's floppy drive. (Have you tried reading the disks that you used to reset the Trinity to factory settings on a PC?)
I wouldn't know how to fix that, but there is al lot of Q&A's about faulty Trinity disk drives elsewhere on this forum...
Good luck...

Hi there,
Yes that is my site and my FAQ
I'm really glad to see that the document I created all those years ago continues to be one of the most busy pages on my site.
Did the information help any, or was there another fix? Although it's been simpy years and years, I would still encourage people to mail me and provide more information for the Trinity FAQ.

A wee bit late in the day perhaps, but after coming across it in a web.archive version of TrinityHaven, posting this link to the tiny ZIP file with the registry fix files in it was hardly an effort. Now it's here for anyone interested.
Cheers,
Rutger
