is all this software sharing legal ?
Sharp, any comment on this ?
Regards.
Just for the record, I don't share software that isn't free. EMC is commercial software, so I don't share that!
Besides that, it needs a machine dependable validation. You could use the software for the trial period of 4 days.
And the updates for registered users is free downloadable from the Internet.
Another question is: Can I help out someone in converting a style?
There are some contradictory judgements about the copyright on styles and it's not clear to me which arguments are convincing, but I think that if you have purchased a style legally, you're entitled to use it, including editing, adapting to a new keyboard you purchase or whatever.
If I compare it with purchasing a CD, I can let someone else listen to that CD. Not make a copy of it for someone else, but I can make a copy for my own use. And I can ask a friend to make a copy for me if I can't do that myself, right?
If anyone can shine some light on the subject if it's okay to convert some styles into Pa1X format (using legally purchased software) and share these styles for free, I really would like to know, for I see no harm in it.
