Hi there, & Happy New year
Does any one know which roller Bags or roller cases are the best fitting for PA800?
Both Hard case and Semi-hard bag?
Thanks
Shawn
I found the best bag that fits perfect and solid. It is a roller bag. The handle pops out and you can pull and roll it. Since the Korg Pa800 measurements are larger than the normal 60 key arrangers, this bag is the perfect fit. The name is "PRO EL". I purchased it from George kaye of the Kaye's Music Scene music store in Reseda, Califronia. He is very nice and very helpful. You can call him at (818)881-5566.
Note: I also did send you an email about an hr ago regarding the roller bag for Korg Pa800.
You welcome. By the way I live in Southern California. I know you live in USA but not sure what state. I was wondring what type of music do you play. Hope to hear from you. Take care and Happy New Year.
There are 2 Gator models with wheels, one is semi-hard and the other is a hard shell case, those cases are relativly inexpensive and I did have the semi hard and sold it with my old PA 60, and when I got the PA800, I got the hard case.....the fit is perfect !!!. I have 14-20 performances at month, great protection for the keyboard, I recomend it !
Shawn,
I have the Gator and the Proel case in stock. The Gator case with wheels is 43" wide and the PA800 is 44" wide. The Proel case measures exactly 44" wide and sells for $99.00 with wheels and pull out handle. I have them in stock.
Shaun,
Actually, the PA800 is 43.7" wide, not 44". This is why the Gator case will not fit and the ProEl fits great.
Manuel, how did you get the 43.7" PA800 into a 43" Gator? I've only been able to put the PA800 in the 76 note size. I have the bag with wheels in stock and it's too short! I think the hard case is exactly the same inside dimensions.
I have sold many Gator cases to the PA-80-60-50 and now to the PA800 owners myself included, the Hard shell case Gator GK 261R fits perfect the models I mention....also for the Semi-rigid case GK 61 that also has wheels....This last case I had it with my PA60 that I used for almost 3 years jobing all the time, I sold it to a friend performer also, and still going strong.
For the Yamaha Tyros2 I use the Yamaha hard case, but also fits in the Gator Cases for 76 keys in either semi and or hard presentation.
I do not know why the measures do not match up the PA800 at least in paper, but you can check it, putting a PA 800/80/50 inside the GK261/GK61 and is a Perfect fit.
The ones that can not be use, are the SKB cases, they are to slim for the arrangers, much more suitable for synths that dont have the speakers housing.
Manuel,
The Gator GK61 bag style case with wheels is only 43" wide and the PA800 is just a little under 44" wide. The Gator GK261 ATA case does measure 44" and should fit. The problem I've seen though is that the PA800 measures 7" from the bottom of the keyboard to the top of the display in the center of the keyboard. The Gator GK261 only accomadates keyboards up to 6" high. How do you squeeze the PA800 into a case that is 1" less tall?
The Proel bag measures almost 44" wide and is 7 1/2 " high and almost 18" deep.
I confirmed with a musician friend in Holland that his recently aquired Pa800 does fit the 61 key semi soft Gator case with wheels (GK61) despite the manufacturer's stated measuremnets that seems to be a bit shorter than the Pa800. Even Sweetwater.com promotes the GK61 as the right case for Pa800.
I think sometimes manufacturer's list numbers for their measurements that will "comfortably" accomedate most keyboards in order to avoid any future damage related liability issues.
I did mention the cases models(GK261R & GK61R) that fit the PA800, I use one to perform with own PA800, I did not mention the ATA that is smaller and is not suitable for arrangers.
