when i run my sq-1 there is a time lag between the step being played & the sound produced. when i hold a note down in step mode it plays only when i remove my finger. has anyone encountered & solved this problem?

hello. that sound is made by patching MG OUT (square) into FREQ IN. set the EG1/EXT knob in the frequency modulation section to just past 6. control the speed with the frequency knob in the modulation generator.

that sounds weird. have you tried taking the gate out from the B gate socket?
