I fixed the problem

Ok so here is how I fixed the problem. I took it to an authorized Korg service center. They told me the solder was lifted on the board. They said it was not covered by the warranty. I had to pay for the repair. He also told me Korg doesn't make gear like they used to. I have always been very gentle ...

I went through the archives and it looks like other people have had the same problem. But I did not find any resolution. My R3 is still in warranty but I have to find the receipt for it. The authorized Korg repair place told me I need the receipt.

right output not working on R3

I bought a refurbished R3, I just noticed that the right output is not working, and one side of the headphone is extremely quite. Could I have the wrong setting on something or do I have to call an authorized Korg repair shop?

The new ones came out back in 2003. When they did I saw big shots using them and music engineers using them. I know Bjork's engineer used them I read in an article once. But in seven years latter most big shots switched something else probably computer based.

Pattern question.

How does changing a pattern while it's playing work. Does it wait till the current pattern is done before it switches to the new pattern like the electribe line?

P.001 to P.128

When you hit shift ext. control you get P.001 to P.128 on the kp3.
Does this mean anything? I did not see anything in the manual or the editor for this. Is this something not implemented yet?
Thanks.

main out static distortion

I am having trouble with my main outputs on my emx-1. When I play a bass or kick the left is loud and clean and the right is quieter and has a static distortion. When I change them to output 3-4 it sounds fine. So I assume it is a problem with the tubes. Does anyone have any advice how to correct ...

... I have the entire output of my synths and tribes going into the 404 ... How well does this work. Do you have trouble with adjusting the volume of the entire mix and the sp-404 samples. I use the KP3 for this currently and it is real easy to adjust the volume of the samples and the entire mix on ...

Re: Dream Electribe

3. polyphonic 11. a boss editor 13. full ASDR envelope Your Ideas are great but I would buy it if it had your #3,11, and 13 ideas. I'm sure they will put in an editor, but I'm not sure about the Polyphonic and ASDR. The card is a no brainer, the only reason smart media is expensive is because it is ...

My advice is to get a camera that has an 1/8 audio input. The cheap cameras don't have it. Your signal will be way to hot for it, so you need a mixer to lower the volume. That's how I have done my videos. I get pretty good results, if you want to check out on my myspace site. I have not tried the ...

One benefit of the SP-404 is it can play long samples, but thats about it compared to the ESX. It has only a one track sequencer. I think the 404 is designed to play the samples live. You also have to make sure that you keep the ESX the same tempo because the 404 has no realtime time stretch. Alls ...

The sequencer is only 8 bars or 32 beats. So the samples have to be the same length. If you have a longer sample you can chop it to 32 beats max. If you have hands free during performance you can mute and unmute chopped samples in pattern mode, if you don’t have your hands free you can program it in ...

Yes it is, but I'm just saying you may get frustrated if you want to have more than 20 8 bar samples. To save space you can also make it mono (and/or lower the sample rate, then add effects to bring back the stereo effect) Also if you want to use the sequencer you will want to have samples that are ...

One of the reasons you don't see a lot of voice samples on youtube is that the ESX can only have 25 mb loaded at a time. (A great sampler but this is it's biggest short coming imho.) Mostly what the ESX excels at is taking short samples and freaking them out. If you want to put in a bunch of long ...
