wow, this is so helpful. The tube can break i think, when there's a mechanical shock - while on the road especially. So far I haven't had problems, but i really fear this while on the road. Besides, I don't really think the tube lasts more than 5 years if used on regular basis by a working musician ...

i use the damper a lot while playing fast leads set to mono and legato - this way it's smoother, and i also use the joystick and ribbon extensively.
but that's a good idea with the stereo compressor.

Thing is, the extreme is a 88 heavy keyed one, and i want to use the other one for leads and the extreme for pianos.
