I too have used my Krome extensively over the last two years, in no less than 3 bands, and it works beautifully!
I'm primarily a guitar player, so the keys don't bother me in the least, and the sounds are incredible, mostly because I can easily tweak, and customize, them.
Happy Krome owner here!

Can someone direct me to a tutorial on creating drum patterns?

Thanks Dan, I looked around, finally found a pattern, and added some things, so that was very helpful, and I appreciate it.

I still have a way to go, before I figure this out.

Is it possible to create custom Arp patterns in the Krome?
If so where is that information.

I thought that had been done for some of the other synths, do a search, that should help, I've never done it, but hopefully that'll help.

I'm back to using the TR for EPs again.

This is a prime example of how subjective everything is. I sold all 3 of my Yammy Synths, hated 'em, now I'm left with a TR-61, and a Krome 61, and although I have noticed the TR keys being sharper than the Krome, I can't even imagine how many glissando's I've done on it over the years. I love both ...

I use Combies, in the D, (user) bank, it's so much easier, and I can combine patches for better sound quality.

It's all subjective.

Hopefully you'll find the key bed acceptable, or you'll have the option of returning it.

I'm very happy with my Krome 61, it's the only synth in my studio these days, and I have 2 others.

Mine's a 61, and it definitely distorts!

I was showing it off to my former teacher, and he noticed it right off.

I'm very surprised that this issue isn't getting more attention from KORG.
