You'll need a motif then
What I have read so far seems to indicate that you'll have to rebuild patches just like you do on the triton/m3/oasys. On the motif ES/XS/XF, the first 8 patches in your sequencer/ multi retain their insert effects so they sound like they do in program mode. That's possible because motif programs ...

I think the m50's name was derived from x5/x50/n5.

Portamento with gliss.
Hi all, Is it possible to have portamento with gliss on the m3? Instead of a smooth bend between the 2 notes, I'd like to hear the discrete pitches between them. This is somewhat related to my previous question about stepped pitch bends. The osc/pitch pages do not suggest it can be done but I'm ...

It will do for now
I think you may be right about the sound Guru but this will do for now.
I have yet to delve into Karma not even sure where to start and it doesn't help that the manual is PDF. Manuals galore, yet another thing I miss about the extreme.

AMS Mixer Quantize worked like a charm
So I did the following in the AMS mixer page
Mixer Type = Quantize
AMS A = JS X
Number of steps = 12
On OSc/Pitch Page
JS(+X) = 0
JS(-X) = 0
AMS = AMS Mixer 1
Intensity = 12.00
and it all worked like a charm.
Thanks again.

Thanks G
Thanks for the sequencer tip. Unfortunately korg sequencers just kill my flow so I never use them.

Thanks for your response. I'll give the AMS mixer technique a go as soon as I get behind the m3 and let you know how I fare.

Alternative to MOSS stepped pitch bend(glissando)
Hi all,
I recently sold my Extreme with MOSS and I'm missing the stepped pitch bends you can do with the MOSS. Is there a way to do this on the M3?
I reckon I could probably use KARMA but I'm yet to get my head around it and I doubt it will give me the immediacy of the joy stick.
Thanks
