Is there a way to play multiple MIDI channels from the Kronos keyboard simultaneously?

Boot up time.

Greetings on this beautiful sunny day.

I had an original Kronos some time ago but never dared use it live due to the long boot time.

I'm currently considering a new purchase and was wondering if the Kronos 2 boots any faster?

I always stood 'til a few years ago when I was having heart trouble and kept falling over. Now that did look silly!

I've now had surgery so wouldn't fall over on stage but I've got used to sitting down and my back feels much better the day (or two) after a gig.

I do, but then I grew up using Ensoniq gear!

Re: try the Fantom X7 if you want a good second board

I have since got a Jupiter 80 but I don't gig with it as much, because the Fantom has more of the gig stuff I need and a computer editor. That's funny because I have an Integra-7 and a Fantom XR in my live rack and I tend to use the Fantom sounds more than the Integra ones. I suppose I'm more used ...

The sound set of the QS 6.1 holds up suprisingly well considering it's 15 years old! And yes, the Fusion 6HD is surprisingly heavy for it's diminutive size. It sounds great though. I used it live until one of the keys stopped sounding. Keep meaning to dismantle it for cleaning but never seem to get ...

This is exactly why I've been downsizing over the last few years. Just turned 51 and feeling every day of it. I've now got the smallest, lightest live rig I've ever had but still struggling. It should be easy for me because I'm not a piano player so I prefer a good semi-weighted action over piano ...

And we can always expect some PC spoilsport with no sense of humour to jump in and suck the joy from a previously lighthearted thread.

The song from the Netherlands was by far superior to anything else on the night IMHO.

Well that didn't last long!!

A couple of months back I bought a Yamaha MOXF 6 to complement my Kronos for gigging. Nice and light. The complete soundset from the Motif XF. It even came with 512Mb of flash memory so I could use some of the samples I had in my Motif XS. It sounded great!! But what were they thinking in putting ...
