As far as I know, the editor has always been a sub-set of the full MidiQuest software. Nice that they offer a discount to Kronos owners who want to step up to the full package. Please let us know if you get the latest version working as an AU in Logic. My first attempts have been unsuccessful. I've ...

Kronos v1 - vertical lines on screen

Hi all. My 2011 Kronos, which has largely been in my home music room, attached to a UPS, has recently developed several thin vertical lines on the touch screen. Any thoughts on what I might be looking forward to in terms of repairs?

Gotta say - based on this thread, I pulled out my old FC-7 foot pedal, and it is AWESOME, especially for organ - much better than the Roland FC500 I had been using.

Thanks to everyone who participates in this forum. So many great tips - thanks for sharing!

Or.... Is it possible to "program" the response curve of the pedal onboard the Kronos? E.g. Make the response curve logarithmic versus linear, etc?

How about a "visual cue track" in the sequencer? We have a sequencer, we have a screen with customizable text - it would be cool to be able to connect the two. For instance - playing along live with sequenced tracks, it would be great to get text prompts while on the set list screen, set as custom ...

I'm not near my Kronos right now, but I believe what you have to do is go into the program that contains your sample and set the pitch bend range to ZERO. Intuitively, you'd think this function would be on the same Combi page that disables the sustain pedal etc, but it's not. Good luck with your ...

You could also try a couple of more pro-level backline companies:

Backline Plus (647 288 0179)

Coll Audio (416 264 1188)

Good luck! I tend to agree with your thinking re travelling with your baby! :-)

Mark me down as "45-54, Studio or Home". Would *love* to be playing live with the Kronos, playing all the covers I used to play back in the 80s - could do a great job now, with this keyboard - but the economics just don't work anymore (if they ever did!). So - I invite other like-minded old farts ...

I use a QuikLok Z-71 http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=productsMore&iProduct=78&sName=Z-71 Very solid and lots of foot space for pedals. Bonus if you're tall - this one goes higher than most. I'm 6'4" and this stand gets the key bed of my Kronos 88 into a suitable position. Hope this helps.

And remember - no matter what you learn as being "correct" and "proper" (technique, chord proressions, harmonies, etc) - if something sounds and feels good to YOU.....it's right. :-) I studied classical piano formally, messed around with analog synths in the '70's (Korg 770 was my first!), played in ...

Feature request: programmable RPPR shutdown keys

My two cents: Would really appreciate being able to program RPPR shutdown keys. I use *only* an 88-key Kronos, covering 80's tunes with a bunch of "fly in" percussion and melodic patterns. Losing more than an octave to shutdown keys makes things real tight on some tunes. I didn't think there was a ...

I'm programming Blue Monday, and am quite stuck on how to re-create the "percolating" rhythmic ostinato that comes in after the first vocal/lyric (around 2:12 of the original 7+ minute version, at 1:13 on Dan's version). I can't quite figure out which notes are being played, nor how to automate that ...

Ahhh - gotcha. So we're saving the name "on the way in" (i.e. at time of saving) rather than being able to change the name directly on an existing pattern (as you can with a regular program, for example). Thanks very much for your clarification. It certainly is an awesome AWESOME machine! :D
