Knock yourself out. In electribe terms these two are the only models that tick your boxes.

Re: convoluted.

templates: templates will load in basically new COMBI setups to the SEQ menu. templates usually divide the 16 parts into different midi channels to allow you overdub different parts, and set up your SEQ like a MIDI file playback (16 part multitimbral) if you want a slightly different approach, you ...

I ran into this frustrating problem of assigning programs to tracks in which they didn't play right i.e. efx were disabled, parameters were changed etc; almost immediately. It had gotten to the point where I just said the hell with it and unhooked the MS, deciding that I would come back to it later ...

Korg ESX Line Level Output

Hello guys.

Just out of plain curiosity I was wondering if anyone knew the ESX's line level output. The specs in the ESX manual are very vague and not specific. My guess is that it is either +4dBU or -10dBV.

Thanks for your time :)

Odd. I have noticed this problem with the EMX, but not with the ESX.

I've been trying to get something useful out of the "shift note" and "move data" randomise function, but the result is usually all over the place. Is it possible somehow to put a limit on the octaves used, at least? I've often wondered the same thing. So far, I haven't really been able to get ...

If you can get a hold of both machines that would be a real win/win situation as they work together beautifully when paired up together. Without a doubt the ESX is clearly the superior machine, but the ES-1 has several redeemable qualities that make it a true classic. One thing that I always found ...

I'm having the very same problem right now as we speak, the only difference is that I have my Microkorg midi'd up 'handshake' style to my MPC 2000XL and the arpeggiator on the MK is only triggering the notes 'hold' style. The gate, swing, last step and resolution functions seem to have no effect at ...

1) While in sequence mode is the Microstation able to edit individual note/track 'gate time' data? I've read all of the manuals from beginning to end but can't seem to find anything specifically addressing this issue. if by gate/time data you mean the RTC knobs, or TEMPO ... then, nope. you only ...

A few basic MS questions

Hello again guys. I have a few basic questions pertaining to the Microstation. In no particular order here they are: 1) While in sequence mode is the Microstation able to edit individual note/track 'gate time' data? I've read all of the manuals from beginning to end but can't seem to find anything ...

I wonder what the situation is with the 1.04 OS upgrade? The Korg homepage doesn't make any mention of it in the EMX section. I strongly suspect that on the earlier OS versions the mod delay effect is buggy. As numerous others have mentioned on here, when using mod delay, it doesn't matter if your ...

I think the point about a matched pair is that they will be consistent in stereo - neither one will produce more or less distortion or bias or level, at the same settings. Or at least they will be very close. Same reason an engineer may choose to use a matched pair of microphones for a stereo ...
