Thanks for the input folks. I fitted a new SSD and used the original installation discs from 2012 , then updated to OS 3.1.3 and reinstalled a full backup I made. Took a couple of hours to go through the process but I ran it for 7 hours after that and no reoccurance of the power cycling error , so ...

Thanks for the steer JFree. I wondered whether it might be the case that you can't switch a drive between machines, hence the question. I've since found another post that confirms the same. I've tried re-seating the RAM and checked the drive connections. I've thought about the power supply , but I'm ...

Installing a new SSD

Hi Forum Folks. happy New Year to you all. I have a K88 and a K73 , both are 1st generation boards which date back to 2012. In recent weeks , on a couple of occasions , the K73 has crashed and a blue screen with an error message appears :- "A problem has been detected, which may have been caused by ...

Volume reduction when copying a program into a combi

Hi Folks. Some Kronos advice and guidance please. I've noticed that when I "audition" a program in program mode the output level seems much louder than when I use that program in combi mode. I've used a blank slot in combi mode , selected "copy from program" to bring the program across into the ...

Restoring the memory to a dead 03R/W

Hoping that somebody in the group can help out on this. My old 03R/W hasn't been used for many years and I recently got asked to do some reunion gigs with a band I was with in the 90s when I used some of the 03 factory sounds so I retrieved it from my storeroom to find that the internal battery was ...

Hiring a Kronos 88 in Spain

Hi Folks I am doing a couple of gigs in Barcelona and Madrid in April and we have sent our equipment list through to the promoter for him to sort out with a local gear hire company (I believe they are called Call & Play, based in Barcelona). I have been told that the local hire company are having ...

I've purchased several libraries Are these the korg libraries or are they other third party ones? Because there is ways to extract the third party ones. I'd be very interested to know more about how I could extract the libraries so that they could be used on a hired Kronos. We have done quite a few ...

Mixed Feelings

Training is something I could definitely benefit from but I think I will struggle to spare the time. I hope they run some more at a later date. However, I do think that £100 cost is a bit rich It's not that I can't afford £100 - fortunately that's not the issue for me. It's more about a feeling that ...

I started putting a few of those little silica gel packs which absorb moisture inside the flight case with the keyboard and I never had a problem after that. This is a great idea... Do you know anywhere you can buy these? You can get them on Amazon. They're really cheap. Different sized packs so ...

I had what appeared to be a condensation problem with a Roland RD piano a few years back during a very cold winter. I was storing it in my adjoining garage after gigs and then on the next gigs the thing would power on and off from time to time when it first came out of the box. I therefore agree ...

Since they don't offer a demo on those libraries, I can't really form an opinion on the quality of those specific libraries. But I sure as hell can tell you that the programs offered freely by Qui Robinez and Kevin Nolan are pretty awesome! Do you have a link to where I could get these programs ...

I use Mainstage controlled by a Novation SL61 MkII as part of my live set up. I've also got Native Instruments Komplete 7 loaded on which gives me plenty of options on sounds. The Novation has lots of buttons, knobs and sliders for functionality and is decent build quality for a pretty lightweight ...

Paul hello dtscape Really nice sounds you made. Thanks. Just wondered - I still keep my "old" 01W mainly for a few sounds (and my sentiment of course), and my favourite is a Combi A14 Whammy & Pad. Any chances that you could "recreate it" on Kronos? Regards Mike I would love to get hold of that ...
