My wife and I won a Kross 61 as a runner up prize in the 2013 Korg Kronos Studio Makeover contest. We primarily use it in the studio at the moment. I have to admit I was pretty impressed by it. Looking forward to more contests like this from Korg!

The usb connector on the back of TR88 is a Type B connector. The usb port on the TR is only usable as a MIDI interface. It is not usable for Data transfer or as an audio interface.

Ok so I went and got the 8" for $139 yesterday. It is really good quality for the price. It does run the Kross editor, but there is a bit of a problem. There is no way to make the editor full screen. Here in the US, retailers list the MOXF6 at $1199.99 where as the Kross 61 is listed at $699.99 so thats almost double the price. If you are looking used I am sure you could find either one at a more discounted price.

Oh no sorry, I should have been more specific. The Kross does not do audio over USB. So you would have to have the audio out on it connected to your audio interface and record a separate audio track. But with the editor you can view and change all the parameters in the Kross and save those changes ...

Although there is no iOS version of the Kross editor, if you happen to have a Windows tablet that runs a full version of Windows 8 (not RT) you can run the editor on that and hook it via USB to the Kross and that essentially will give you touch screen capabilities on the Kross.

Couple other things you could try to see if theres a real problem with the output jacks/circut: 1. Pull up the audio recorder on the Kross and start pressing keys.
