Saving style volume and mute changes for recall during song

Hi All, I need to mute style tracks and change their volume during a performance but can't seem to figure this out. So for example: - I'm using style variation 2 with just the ACC 1 playing and all other style tracks muted. - Then I want unmute the Drums, Percussion, Bass and ACC 2. - Then later I ...

Thanks Pete. That's really kind of you. Much appreciated.

I've followed the instructions to the letter. I've PM'd you a link to an example text file and a couple of screenshots of both the PC and the Korg.

Text file characters don't line up

Hello, I'm having a little trouble with text files in the lyrics screen. I've created the files according to the instructions in the manual using Notepad++ in Windows using a Courier font so it's fixed width. I've also tried using other text editors. When I load the files into the Lyrics display the ...

Thank you Pete. I suspected as much but wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed something obvious.

Favourite vs. User style locations

Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

I’m struggling to fathom the difference between favourite and user style locations other than you can’t edit the name tabs for the user slots.

Can anyone shed any light on this or is it a design “feature”?

No problem Bruce. I'm glad you're enjoying your new PA1X. It's an amazing piece of kit. I've had mine since they first came out and I'm still learning new techniques on it. It just gets better and better. I keep considering whether there's anything I need to upgrade to but frankly I think it still ...

Hello Bruce, It's not quite that simple I'm afraid. Although you could simply record a note from your keyboard then use it as a sound sample it won't sound like your other keyboard. Manufacturers use some in depth techniques for sampling instruments across many dynamic ranges, trying to capture ...

I have the same problems with Logic Pro 7 & 8. I've never really tried to get to the bottom of it but I do wonder if the key off data is getting lost when there's a lot of info. I can recreate the problems just by playing a quick part with the events playing via Logic. I've worked around the issue ...

It's great to see the forums back up. It's also great that Korg have offered to help with the hosting. My view is that this is an offer worth exploring fully. After all, if it didn't work out with Korg having a stake there's nothing to stop the forum from going totally independent again and then ...

Good luck with your new instruments Dennis. You've helped me in the past and you're expertise will be missed I'm sure.

Have fun and come back and drop us a line every now and then.

I agree Rob. That's what I use and it's served me well. But I only transport my kit 1/2 dozen times a year. I wouldn't fancy transporting my kit regularly in it and still have some nice hard cases from the days when I gigged every week. They just don't fit the PA1X :( I made my own cases (or my dad ...

Rob - this is terrible news and you have my sympathy. I hope that you can salvage something from this and at least get some of the kit repaired.

You must be mortified.

I'm all set Dennis. Everything worked perfectly. I agree that the PAX IS incredibly versatile. I like to think that I'm fairly technologically literate but even after 3 years there's still things on the PA1X that are amazing me. I think that the Korg Arrangers are extremely understated and when you ...
