I would recommend that u change the polarity setting of the pedal. And PS-1 pedal is my recommendation for sustaining the strings. Read the korg user manual to find out more.

the PS60 isn't exactly the most programmable of Korg's Synths... you might want to check the manual just to be sure. Most of Korg's other synths and workstations would do this for sure, but the PS60 has some odd limitations, especially with layers, like not being able to layer more than one sound ...

Go down to your local store and try it out. Download the manual of Korg PS60. As far as I know it supports half dampling.
