Right on target!

I completely agree with everything stated in this review. 3 things I'd like to add: #1. The sound quality isn't as good as the top line units, but it's 1/3 the price. And how good is good? How many listeners can tell the difference between a $500 keyboard and a $3000 keyboard? For that matter, is ...

Stranger Than Fiction

I've never heard of the "Stranger" amp company. (I could only find it in India based music stores online) I'm guessing it's not top-notch equipment. Stage environments demand higher volumes and more clarity to hear yourself well. Most dedicated keyboard amps (except for the highest priced units ...

The other reason I posted this was to gauge how many people get on here regularly.

Sadly, there aren't that many. 10?

The main reason I went for a drum throne was for the visual angle. In our duo, my wife who sings lead is standing so, to even the visual height a bit, I went with the throne as benches never adjust high enough. Yeah, that's part of the reason why I went with this model. It can adjust up to 30 ...

Sit On It ! (A Throne Election)

I just purchased a Gibraltar "chair" from Zzounds. http://www.zzounds.com/item--KAMKT708 I normally stand on stage & play guitar, but now I'm playing keyboards for long stretches and needed a seat. My poll is to determine how many of you use benches, stools, drum thrones, regular chairs, office ...

New Appreciation

OK, now I've used the PS60 at rehearsal. I now feel that I've under-rated this unit AND was a bit harsh or hasty in my judgment. I'm very impressed with the sounds and combinations I can get from the PS60. The band was equally impressed and seemed to think I'm a better player because of it. This is ...

Case Is Perfect!

WOW! I couldn't have ordered it more perfectly made for the PS60. This is THE CASE for the PS60. I wouldn't spend any more money (this case was $159) on a case.... and a gig bag? well...I just don't feel a gig bag protects keyboards very well during transport. I can't tell you how happy I am that ...

Easy Peasy

{now, after about an hour of time on the PS60} I think I know most everything about controlling the PS60s now. It's so simple and straight forward that most people shouldn't need a manual to perform all basic functions. I only read 2-3 pages (skimmed) and I got the hang of it. (a very shallow ...

Korg PS60 is here ! :D

OK, I just played around with my brand new Korg PS60. These are the reasons I gave earlier for buying this unit. ~ It has all the features and sounds I need to play gigs ~ It's affordable (under $1000) ~ It's lightweight (under 11 lbs) ~ 61 keys (all I need, just right for smaller stages) ~ no ...

Yeah, that's probably it...MiniKorg. It was so long ago, I forgot.

Thanks! :)

MicroKorg Praise

I used (borrowed) a friend's Korg mini/micro-something back in the early 80s. It blew my mind! The thing was all plastic, but it was tough. The guy in my band made very efficient use of it. Always amazed the crowd. Now, I've bought a newer MicroKorg myself (2005?) and I love it! I'd rather have full ...

Something To Keep In Mind

Sound is a relative thing. If the sound you have is lower-fi or just plain cheap (Wal-Mart cheap), it can still pass as acceptable because there may not be a quality sound in the mix to compare it with. A cheap guitar played through a horrible sounding amp can sound pretty good if there are no other ...
