I've noticed they've finally dropped to $399, which must have meant people were just too skeptical for what was given when at full price. I'd only buy the DX reFace and maybe the electric piano one. I'm going to be getting my Volca FM next month, and I already own a Yamaha DX200. So I'm definitely ...

I just ordered 5 Volcas, but if I had a EA-1, I'd probably use the EA-1's input in to one of the Volcas, and use it to sequence/filter the sounds out of it with the Midi Out to the Volca's Midi In.

Volca GM. Might be nice to have a Volca that has any acoustic pianos, guitars, wind instruments, in the General Midi format. Maybe it wouldn't be very popular, but if it could be done, I'm sure somebody out there might appreciate it as a Crayola box of sounds.

Just ordered mine from Sweetwater. I have been debating on Volcas for awhile now. But just couldn't justify buying them because of life's challenges. Now that I'm going to be working 7 days a week, I want something to play with. Applied for credit on Sweetwater and was approved. Told my rep I wanted ...

It's kind of hard to keep hardware going when there's so much choice in the DAW market for software/controllers. Korg may feel it's dead, but who knows? Maybe they'll sell enough Volcas to reconsider. Those who need hardware will just have to p/u Roland Aira machines, or Elektron gear. I already ...

I've got the opposite problem. I've got a EMX, and a ER-1 mk2, but I really could use a EA-1 mk2, ES-1 mk2, and a ESX. But I have too many bills in the way to track them down on eBay or from any local pawn shop. (I haven't really been scoping to find them, but I can't really get new stuff until my ...

You'll save a little bit of money, if you're lucky enough to locate one, but you'll have to locate the old memory cards is the only fly in the ointment, and this is where you may regret the decision. If you look on eBay, most people sell a ES-1 from anywhere from $150-300 (depending on condition ...

Korg announces Electribes ENX/ESX discontinued.

http://www.sequencer.de/blog/korg-electribes-are-discontinued/16473 Looks like it's the end of the line, but at least you can still find them on eBay if you really got to have one. Technology moves on, and sometimes it's time for the R&D team to build a new machine. If they're not going to, then the ...

I'd pick keys, since it's nice to have Polyphony in such a small package, and it looks like there's a little more to work with soundwise. But I agree with cynkh. They're cheap enough to not really need to have a fave.

I'd love to have them work with the MS-20 as well.

(Shrug). To each their own. I'm a collector, and I see value in the electribes. It's maybe a waste to buy them all to you, but to me, it's just endless possibilities, but you could easily mix/match them all to the EMX/ESX as the masters, and slave the rest. If most mk1's are about $100-250, and most ...

Yeah, if I started adding in the Kaoss pads, that'd get a bit overkill, since there's like the kp1, kp2, kp3, the kp minis, and the rest of them. I'd definately add 2 or 3, or probably some Moogerfoogers. And I wasn't really counting on 9, but yeah, if that's what it is, then I'm going to need a ...

Let's see: Off the top of my head, one cool trick is to use the audio in. Feed it just about anything, another electribe, a mic, (don't know if you need a mic pre/compressor, or just plug it straight in, so just experiment and see what works), other gear, etc. You can have the audio in button lit to ...

They're out there in Ebay for $200USD usually, but don't forget to scope out your local Guitar Center or pawn store as well. You may or may not find a better deal than what they want on eBay, but be patient. They're out there. I've got the ER-1 mk2, and I'm scoring a ES-1 mk2 on payday.

You can use a electribe all by itself, but you're missing out on alot of fun when you don't have another to add with it. I'm planning to get them all, because they're just so much fun and easy to use. I'll probably score the ESX last, because I'm a bit nostalgic for the 1st gen electribes, but I'm ...
