I just thought I would let everyone know that this problem has now been sorted out by Korg UK and I received my M3 module back this morning and it sounds nice and clear again. Just to keep everyone informed (whoever wants to know anyway), I will be sending the M3 module back to Korg UK for repair next week. I will let you know the developments, and more importantly, the cost.

Nothing is plugged into the inputs and I turned them right down to nothing to see if that made any difference, but no.

When I turn off the MFX1 and MFX2 routing, I still get the crackles, but it's worse when the reverb is on.

There's nothing leaking through. As I said, you hear it with headphones connected and nothing else.

I though about mobile phone interference etc., but I've taken the module right away from the studio and it's the same.
