EMX1-SD: output 3/4 ?

Hello, I was wondering what's so special about outputs 3/4? What is the advantage of 3/4? (Of course, this allows for separate EQ, and tube bypass - but no FX - but this doesn't sound that revolutionary...) Maybe this is a leftover from previous hardware models? Maybe to bypass the tubes? Use as ...

I think it's better to leave the KO2 aside, or consider it an immature gadget.

Last question, how flimsy is the K2? I've heard some stories about them breaking very quickly. I'm not going to be gigging with it, but I do intend to give it a lot of use and I want something I can use for a few years without breaking. I don't expect it to be indestructable or anything, but I'd ...

i think they are all great machines for what they are, and anyone who does not like them probably did not understand their limitations before purchasing...i thrive on working under limitations, so they work great for me...i have never used undo on the ko1, so i wouldn't expect to need it on the ko2 ...

I never found the undo on the kaossilator that convenient cos it didn't run in real time. You'd have to stop what you're doing, fix the bank, then if you wanted to undo you'd have to stop what you're doing and revert back. With rather clumsy button combinations too. That just ruins my flow, man ...

[OT] forums...

Sorry, I was a bit too harsh. It's only that I have two issues with forums: 1/ there is an infinite repetition of information that should end up in a wiki rather than having users oblige to search forums for answers, wading trough tons on unrelated or often wrong (though well-intentioned) answers. 2 ...

Well, here's the best way to get your ideas to Korg, then now have a Facebook page asking for product improvement ideas: http://www.facebook.com/KORGusa/posts/10150808001771080 I was already aware of that page. Should you have the courage to read the entire thread, you would find my remark at [1 ...

there's also the analog vs digital issue that makes the monotribe stand out (but only in its corner).

there is MIDI for the monotribe, search for "miditribe I/O" (from Amazing Machines).

I have the miniKP2. I don't know much about external mics, but there is only a LINE IN, so there might be an issue with power for some types of mics. I certainly wouldn't recommend a miniKP2 as a recording device (in fact, tather look at it as a toy ). You would avoid a DR-5 because of its cost ...

I have KO and KO2, and miniKP and KP2. Following comments apply to all of them... On the plus side, there are a few new sounds that sound good. On the minus side, I am not very convinced the KO2 is a step forward, although my hopes were set high. one of the first missing features I noticed was the ...

Re: Monotribe most wanted features

I am posting this here in a hope that Korg not only hosts this forum, but it reads it as well. :) Yes... I wonder how Korg can be reached. I'd like to submit some [OT] KO2/miniKP2 new features, but they don't seem to be eager for this kind of feedback. Tried via webform, FaceBook, via email, no ...

It's the DP-004 ( http://tascam.com/product/dp-004/ ); I use headphones. Note that the problem is fundamental - the recorder output is sent to the fx, who transforms it, that comes back in and that signal immediately leaves back the recorder (via the monitor output), to enter the fx again. AFAIK the ...

mini-KP + DP-004

Hello, I'm aware following setup is not clean, yet I tried it, and as expected, it's not brilliant for most effects because of feedback (and I guess other effects introduce additional deformations of the source sound): DP-004 replay tracks 1/2 (line out) -> miniKP -> DP-004 inputs A+B -> record into ...
