Re: ?
I'd like to add that I don't have a computer that use to connect via USB. So if anyone has some awesome advice for me, please take that into account. I don't use a computer either. It's part of the band ethos: All hardware, no software. (Yes, most hardware runs software even if it isn't a computer ...

I run a Kaossilator through a KP3. Using them that way gives me MIDI sync and 4 tracks for looping. That's 90% of what the Pro offers. The only new ideas here are more sounds (meh), a slider on the gate arp (meh), and a vocoder (robot voices - meh). That's not much of a trade for the KP3's effects ...

Here's a paper template for the microKORG that lets you describe your own patches. It hangs around the program select knob and neatly covers up Korg's unsightly "Trance", "Electronica", "Techno", etc. descriptions. It also has diagrams for each bank so you can quickly identify your favorites. Maybe ...

According to the manual, the only buttons that can be controlled by MIDI are the part buttons. I'm with you though, man. I'd love to control my ER-1 with an FCB1010 foot pedal -- imagine 1 switch for each of the 8 parts, 1 for Mute, 1 for Unmute, and the expression pedals mapped to Mod Speed and Mod ...

We used an EMX for a while, but got rid of it because it was such a slippery slope to doing generic beats. Our goal was to keep things more abstract.
The first set with it went well though. Check it out: http://www.thecasualdistractions.com/se ... 2008-12-26.

Just a follow up. Loop Type 3 is a workaround. In case someone's reading this who isn't familiar with that (I wasn't until recently), check out the documentation that comes with version 2.0 of the KP3 operating system (available from Korg at http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=269 ). In this mode ...

I think the real problem is that you apparently don't know the difference between audio looping and midi looping. Look, "audio looping" and "MIDI looping" aren't difficult concepts. I understand them. But nowhere does Korg make that distinction. I got this thing because of the claim it had "MIDI In ...

KP3 Sync Failure
This is half plea for help and half rant. I've had a KP3 since 2008 and am about to ditch it. I've had it up to here. The problem is that it doesn't sync when used as a MIDI slave. It runs faster than the MIDI master clock, and I proved it with a simple experiment. My bandmate also has a KP3. We use ...
