Thank God SILVER synths have gone out of style! Reminded me of the 1970's and shag carpet.

For more on the organ issue, see an earlier post with many replies titled Korg Organs. After having the same disatisfactions with the organs, I am also using a 3 lb Roland VK8, which I love. Recently however, in the interest of less weight and pieces of equipment, I've been using the Korg organs and ...

I personally am pretty happy with the M50 keybed, and this is coming from someone who owned, and LOVED the feel of the M1/T3 series. Really, those were higher end keybeds, and it felt it. But the M50, even though it's low end, it gets the job done for me. Only real complaint is lack of aftertouch ...

Well, gang, Original Poster here. I've taken myself out of the discussion by purchasing a Roland VK-8M module to gig with. I use the Korg organs at rehearsals, and drive the VK-8M at gigs. Weighs 2.3 pounds. I love my M50, but decided to get practical. It's true- a workstation is probably NEVER ...

McHale - did you ever drill out to mount a fitting for a standard cable? I can recommend epoxy glue that's made for PLASTIC - make sure the glue says that. I've glued several things in the past, and they have stuck like iron. I'm assuming that some soldering is also necessary, other than just having ...

Did you place the power adapter inside the keyboard? If so, did you have to drill a hole for the power cord to come out? Needless to say, I'd have to think twice about this, as I'm sure it voids the warranty. But the little round socket for the power plug is SOOO flimsy...

M50 Organs

After having just "auditioned" Korg's ProPak for new EP/Clav patches, and finding them to be wonderful, and noticeably better than the ones that came pre-programmed, I'm wondering: will Korg do the same thing for organs? Are you listening, Korg? I love my M50, but as a part-time clonewheel user, I ...

I purchased a Kurzweil PC3 a while back solely on reviews, and when it arrived, I was very disappointed to find that the "semi-weighted" action was, for me at least, horrible. Springs were way too stiff, and I found it just annoying to play - it had great sounds, but I was gritting my teeth every ...

Well, to me the M50 is pretty cheap and cheesy looking (even the M50 logo looks cheesy), but at least it's black. Shallow though it may be, that was my first consideration for buying a keyboard. I'm sick of all of these silver keyboards (and white). That's a fad that I thought would pass much sooner ...

This looks incredible, and I'm anxious to try it out. I'm confused by the discussion on pitch values. Which ones ARE the correct numbers for pitch values? The "corrections" above sound right except for maybe the -6 for T2. Is that in line with the original Hammond pitches? Thank you! Actually, I ...

Thanks, all. The above info was just what I was looking for, and I printed out my own booklet to keep by the machine for programming. It is INVALUABLE and incredibly time-saving to be able to scan on paper a list of all of these parameters, and zero in quickly. I'm also able to make notes on the ...

List of Sounds and Samples

Waiting for delivery of my M50. I've looked through the posts here, and also at the manuals (large and small) online, and I don't see anywhere a printed list of patches, combis, and samples available to "build" with. Surely someone must have posted these somewhere? Have I missed something? I'd love ...
