EXB-FW Drivers Installation
When I boot up my Vista 64 computer and turn on my M3 then Vista tries to install three drivers. The first one installs fine. It cannot find the next two. I cannot find them and cannot find any documentation discussing this topic. The drivers it cannot find are: KORG M3 AV/C Audio KORG M3 AV/C ...

Problems similar to yours with Vista 64
I took your your suggestion and removed the FW driver and then rebooted my Vista 64 PC. Then I turned on the M3 and Windows started installing three drivers. I had never seen it react this way before. The first one it found and installed. the two listed below it could not find and I cannot get a ...

I'm embarrased to post this, but I wanted everyone to remember this. I'm always dealing with technical hardware/software issues in my work and sometimes you just miss the obvious. I spent about an hour trying to figure out why I could not get the driver to install for the EXB-FW. I never have used ...

EXB-FW Driver installation Problem
Installed the EXB-FW card into my M3. It appears on the screen when I start up the M3 and seems to be OK. When I try to install the newest driver on my PC the Korg driver installation program does not see the M3. No matter what I do it does not recognize that it is hooked up. My computer is a Dell ...

Newbie question - Vocal track on my WAV file
I've only had my m3 about 2 months and I have made some nice CDs of music only. How do I put a couple of vocal tracks on top of them. I know this may seem trivial to you "old timers", but how do you guys do it, and what it the best way to do it? I'm trying to redo some old songs I recorded 35 years ...

Piano Roll Editor - M3 Editor
I'm new to the M3, but I really like the 'Piano Roll" editor for some minor clean up but wish I could use it from my computer. I have the EXB-FW installed now. Should I get some external software to input notes to the M3 sequencer? Do you more experienced guys have some advice? I have a lot of fun ...

I met Bo Diddley 35 years ago.
I Normally don't tell old stories, but I bought an M3 about 2 months ago, I was surfing the forum and I had to share this story. I was a young musician and we were the opening act before Bo at a night club in Myrtle Beach South Carolina about 35 years ago. We were at the club when Bo's band was ...

I was trying the delay and reverb this afternoon, and then I saw your post tonight. It's a lot easier when you are creating new, unique sounds. It's seems to be a lot harder to emulate "real sounds" like a 4 piece brass sound on an old soul song. I just hope I can deliver some kind of credible sound ...

Brass sounds like in Soul Man and Hold I'm Coming
I'm new to the forum and I hope I'm not bothering everyone, but I need some help. I am an old musician from the 70s and I'm having a reunion concert with some of the old band members. Some of the Organs and the Piano sounds will work great for me but no horn players are coming and I would like to ...

Half damper - sustain time
I'm new to the M3. I downloaded and installed the newest Expanded software and the new samples. I copied the Stereo Grand Piano and I want to increase the sustain on my copy. Not a lot but a little. I calibrated the half damper pedal and it works, but I want a little more. Things I have read have ...

New to M3 - Only one timbre works in a combi
I'm new to workstations and all of this stuff, but I just can't get past something this simple. I was creating a new combi. I added the first timbre everything is fine. I add the second timbre and it just will not react. When I strike a key the blue bar is shown normal for the first timbre, but no ...

I just bought my m3-88 this weekend. It came with the software version 1.1. I have had a lot of fun with it. I downloaded the zip file with version 2.0 and installed it on the workstation. It went so nice. It was such a great start and introduction to Korg.
