Okay, let's say I want to bring in one lines from old films as samples (you know early skinny puppy style) can I jack out of my TV and into a KAOS Pad to do that?
or could I record it on an MD and plug the MD into a Kaos Pad?

software versus hardware
So I'm trying to understand the difference here.
If I have a Kaos Pad and a Kaossilator and then down the road I buy like Ableton Live, am I making my hardware obsolete?
I guess I'm asking does software basically do everything hardware does? and therefor replace it? or are they truly different?
