I use the song mode as it has all the split, layer and keyboard set functionality as in style mode. Of course I don't start the payer 1 or when playing live with the band. I ...

Nobody knows or am i of tune?

I'm using song mode in a cover band. Most of my registrations have splits and layers to.
I use the PA4 as a synth. But I put a midi file or mp3 file in the songbook for practice purposes

It happend to me also a few times. I now have the content I need on the SD card and backup op the HD

With certain sounds / kbsets it works well.
In my band i accomp e.g. Nights in white satin. I start the intro with a kbs with a jazz flute. I hold the last note and select kbs 2 with strings and the flute keep on until release of te key.

I always use the delete option from the edit song menu
