hi
pattern sequencer is were you can enter notes in grid to be played back. like a piano roll on reason or some other daw. a isolater is a methed to pin point some thing like when EQing some thing. you can isolaet a freq and drop or boast a area.

you can do both usb and midi, you can change in the settings on the software. the message you got is a warning that the driver is not installed properal. i found i had to installed the driver twice to make it work. plus if you dont use the same port ever time youl have to re-install the driver ever ...

both
both ablton and cubase are realy good at wot thay do. its a matter of which you like working with. abltons good for mashing up audio on the fly. and cubase is old skool and in depth to level that you want it to be. how deep does the rabbit hole go?

by the sounds of it you have ever thing you need to midi up your korg. there are a few things to start midi is infomation which can control your synth or effect or midi gear. because your using soft ware its easy to set up the infomation tobe sent from your computer via midi will trigger your korg ...

please cheak out the link for my live set recorded at what do you do? on 2/5/10, i didnt have any thing planned apart from playing the radias and making some loops on the kp3, the hole set is live from scratch.
