I've been using a KP2 as the main effects processor in my guitar rig for about a year now. The learning curve was quite steep stepping into it (and continues to get steeper as I demand more and more out of it) but the tradeoff has been some unique and extremely usable tones that would cost a fortune ...

No matter how I've tried to route the effects chain. I can't get it to sound good unless it's in an effects loop (which may exclude your Marshall). It's always a little bit noisy on some presets, and it's difficult to kill this with a noise reduction system as you'll likely chop off your reverb and ...

I only want one thing: the ability to recall user saved presets which include pad position, hold status, and effects depth. You can do that on the KP3. Via Midi? My apologies for being vague in the above post. The Program Memory buttons are certainly capable of this, but having to manually set ...

Re: KP2 midi control IN? manual too vague

I still haven't been able to suss out HOW to change between programs on the KP2; using progch messages simply changes the program assigned to buttons 1-8. The manual is no help whatsoever; also there is no clear indication of which message to use to turn Hold on/off. Sorry to resurrect such an old ...

Mine does the same thing, but I put the hold button in a stomp box instead of the guitar.

What worked very well for my rig was to wire up all the program memory buttons to a large footswitch assembly so that I can recall presets with the hold button and exact pad position exactly where I need them.

There's a company called Midi Solutions that makes splitters and merge boxes for Midi signals. A splitter before the KP3 and a merge after would essentially accomplish the same thing as a Midi thru, but with the addition of any Midi data that the KP3 generates.

Hello

Hello all. My name is Kendall Weaver and I'm presently residing in western North Carolina. I'm a classically trained pianist and self taught guitarist who probably spends too much time on the guitar and not nearly enough on the piano. Oh well, nobody's perfect. I signed up primarily for the Kaoss ...
