So I finally got some AAAs and set down to do this. There is significantly more room inside an ER-1 MKII; I built and tested a battery pack and it worked fine. ~10v "dead". For 2 minutes, I had my battery powered bliss. Then I did EXACTLY what zalo did. I put down the velcro on the back plate ...

It's not required that anyone share anything, but most people tend to share things, especially when it costs them nothing to share and it could result in gains for them, such as someone identifying the blown part. If you could replicate food for free would you keep it to yourself or give anyone who ...

Yes, based on Ruso's schematic graham told us that it can take about 9~18v. Voltage sag would cause the voltage to drop unusably low before all the power was drained in a 9v or 9.6v battery, so 12v gives you room for the voltage to sag and still be usable. 10 1.2v NiMH cells or 4 3.6v Li-Ion cells ...

Holy s**t ruso, you had a f*ck*ng schematic and didn't mention it or share it?! Jesus christ, that would have saved us so much goddamn time. Also, I AGREED with and CONFIRMED your pin out, I never claimed it was wrong. I highly recommend you replace your fuse; a bit off topic but did you ever get ...

Hey, n3ldan, ur away a lot? ;) Have you read my PM? Did you find it useful? And please, no more flaming. Ruso ain't no worthless piece of crap of which you obviously think he is. He's contributing to this problem solving as much as anyone. Everybody screws up, and a lot of your fighting origin from ...

I don't own an X-tribe (only an ES-1), but it sounds like it conforms to a standard bipolar power circuit audio device found in typical audio devices. So I'm describing this from a generic point of view, not from actual experience with an X. The EMX will light up probably because the part of the ...

Eight HR6 batteries will give me: 1,2V*8 = 9,6V and 2500 mAh*8 = 20 000 mAh if I connect them in series. Actually if you connect them in series the current capacity is not multiplied. So 1.2*8=9.6v and 2500mAh. Still, you'd get two hours playing time. I would build it out of NiMH cells intended for ...

You see, I don't assume the people I talk to are stupid, I simply learn that they are after they unintentionally reveal it to me. Ha ha!! I read the previous posts and you THOUGHT he said you could just plug in a midi cable and it would power it. Of course that wasn't what he meant. Now amongst ...

Re: ES-1 technical question re: sample rate

Let's pretend that you have a sampler with an adjustable playback and recording frequency, that can record 10 seconds at 32kHz. 10 seconds @ 32kHz means it has a total memory of 320,000 samples. You can adjust the recording freq to 64kHz, which will be much higher quality, but you can now only ...

how many batteries you should connect in series to get enough run time. Actually Borg, to increase runtime you need to add more batteries in parallel ; adding more in series would increase the voltage and fry your x-tribe :) And Ruso, first off, the fact that english is your second language clears ...

Wow, this thread has grown crazily. I haven't been on because it was down for a while and it didn't email me about new replies, weird. n3ldan: Is there someway you can measure the used mA-amount? Yeah, a car battery (or multiple) would be perfect for a outdoor jam with some friends, but as ...

jeez, 3A, what a hog. I suppose it does have those valves... of course, that's just that absolute maximum draw; I feel like I heard they only really use 700ma but I can't remember where I heard it so take it with a grain of salt. Either way, I doubt it draws much current once the valves are hot. I ...

I've been meaning to get my ER-1 mkII on battery power for quite some time. The official korg wallwart I have says 9v 600ma output, so if I took 6 1.5v 2200mAh batteries and put them in serial I would have a 9v 2200mAh battery pack, which could run my electribe for (2200mAh/600ma) 3.6 hours. Of ...
