You should be able to start playing right away. Try it out with your headphones so that you'll know for sure whether or not it's the R3.

As a future R3 owner (will be buying an R3 on Monday), I'd prefer the R3 to have its own section. It just makes searching for information easier without having to wade through Radias-related posts (which make up the majority of this section).

If anyone else needs a manual for the AM8000R, I suggest contacting Korg support. They e-mailed me a PDF of it in a matter of hours (excellent service) and stated that to get a hardcopy, you could order it through an authorized Korg dealer. Just passing this on in case other owners may find it ...

I was looking around for the largest Korg forum and this certainly looks to be the biggest. I thought I might use it a resource to learn more about my AM8000R. Cheers.
