Dranandj, I'm flattered by your comment. As to the voices being muddy... you're probably right. :) As to the titles - "Olhei e Vi" means "I looked and see", meaning, in a Christian religious context, to look at God and see is true nature; "Vida Nova" means "New life" (in God, that is.) Pr0

A piece of my own work (4)

This was my very first Oasys seq song (it's missing the voice). It's a playback for a music/lyrics original song. It was dedicated to a friend couple who was getting married. It was sung at the weeding. The complex parts of the rhodes solo were recorded in low bpm, because I don't have the technic ...

A piece of my own work (3)

This was my first experience with an external drums and voice recording. I had a drummer play with a Roland TD-20, via midi, but ended recording the roland drums itself (didn't use the Oasys's internal drums). Then I had two singers (male and female). Original music and lyrics. The whole thing was ...

is it just the oasys? would you share with us how you went about creating these?
100% Oasys. I think I picked a Combi (don´t remember which) and ended changing everything. The guitar part is "karmafied".

This one is a remake of "Jesus loves me" from Hilsong Kids. I did it for my local church's Sunday morning kid service. It's a playback - I played the piano track live.

A piece of my own work (1)

Here's a theme song I did once for a local singing contest. They wanted a disco thing so... It was kind of an experience too.

Well, than, I do I do it? :P I've been experimenting with the "Audio/Input Sampling" page but I can't figure it out... the inputed audio signal allways comes out through the L/R outputs. I need to ear it through the headphones output but not through the L/R output...

Using the Oasys as a personal on-stage monitor?

I was thinking... If I input an external audio signal, say for instance, one coming from a mixer AUX (drums and bass only, for ex.), could I ear it in my headphones (directly from the Oasys) without the external audio signal itself being outputed through the Oasys's L/R outputs, of course, only the ...

Karma won't identify (ie name) the chords. It's all driven by g3 or c4 and f6, etc for notes on the keyboard. It won't tell you that you're playing F#major4th, for example, resolving to to a neopolitan 6th (D major in F#) back to F# major. This is not exactly true. Dependent on the KARMA settings ...

I don't intend to use it as an arranger, only need to identify some chords I do in order to put it on paper.

I.
Does the Oasys recognizes live playing, like identifying chords? If not, is there any software that does (via midi of course)?

Re: Your opinion on IFXs use

Right now I'm having some serious recording sessions with electric guitars, an accustic guitar (Yamaha Silent Guitar) a bass and a violin (Yamaha Silent Violin), beside the Oasys internal sounds, like piano, strings, etc. So, as to the Oasys internal sounds, I've used it's default IFXs, of course ...
