No no no, i love the x-station..amazing sounds. But if I were to use sounds from Logic or Ableton or whatever, I'd have to go midi, correct?

Right on guys. So my live shows now just consist of my Roland Sh-201, Roland XP-30, Kaoss Pad 2, and my EMX-1. I have a Novation X-station 25 and my bassist and vocalist both have macbooks and have logic, so it's pretty dumb for us not to be taking advantage of it. Ruso and some other guys have been ...

Wow, i've actually never heard of the program but since all four posts prefer Ableton, I need to look into it.

Computer Programs

Hey guys, I'm not sure whether or not you gents know anything about computer software programs, such as Cakewalk, Logic, Fruityloops..to name a few.. but I've been hearing good things about Logic Pro. I want to run a live setup with a macbook to run samples off of...maybe even run midi sounds. If ...

Thanks a lot, Zalo! We actually got asked to play a couple stages and generators at Cornerstone this year. We didn't have to get voted on, thank God. As for the song, it's just a rough draft right now. We recorded it all ourselves. We're going to go get our songs professionally recorded after ...

Update! http://www.myspace.com/mythandlegend Go there for the final product (as of now*) for our song. I'm sure it won't appeal to a lot of people, but the people that are into this style of music think it's pretty dang awesome. Have a great weekend everybody and let me know what you think! Thanks :)

Yeah, I already have my Roland XP-30 for a big selection of keyboard sounds.

I just need some good synth sounds that have more of a "warm" and dynamic feeling to them. I'm looking at Realistic Concertmate MG-1's and Nord Lead 2X's. They both seem pretty good.

Yeah.. i may just stick to my Roland SH-201 for now. It's kind of hard to decide on a synth over the internet. It's nice to play on them before purchasing.

What part of texas are you from?

Thank you so much for that information. One of the key things i'm looking for is a really great sounding saw wave, since that's what I use most in my band. I don't think the after touch is that big of a factor in the decision. Were people complaining that the Lead 3 sounded bad.. or just different?
