I use a smartcard adaptor with XD cards... 128mb... works fine for me... And 128mg is pretty enough to store a full set...

Only one thing I wonder about is, Does it read straight from the card now? Like a flash driver??? Or do you still have to load in...???

The electribes support 128mb as a smartmedia card. But because the electribes have a 16mb ram on board, they never can read more then 16mb of samples whitout reloading a whole new set of samples into the RAMmemory... Yes... very important to know... that every devices with usb conection should always be connected to the same usb port! It's not a harddrive where you can put it anywhere...

You know what, I've noticed the same thing. Although that said, I've also noticed that if you push the slider (or the ribbon if in reverse mode) towards the higher pitched notes you'll hear the minor differences between the scales. Otherwise yeah their doesnt appear to be any noticeable differences ...

About the Virus and R3 issue... I own both. And yes the virus sounds less cheap or should I say with more definition. It is a fuller sound! And that is very normal.
