V2 can now select multiple items, edit song chains & pattern playlists and assign waveforms for drum & synth parts; video overview.
Think that wraps it for me but keep an eye on the mods history for updates.

Any chance to have it support the electribe2 file format, as per Xanadu's reverse engineering work on the other thread? I used Korg's midi spec for the emx1 plus lots of test files from my machine so sounds too much work for the emx2 without this or owning the machine - can't match Xanadu's efforts ...

New version 1.10 just released with motion seqs and fixed instrument osc/wave names. Glad it's of some use; it's very basic compared with some of the proper editors out there, but it's still quite instructive to see how presets are organised... have learnt a few new things about the machine so was ...

Can you get to the note/gate/velocity/etc. of each note from the grid? The synth notes are displayed via the View menus but can add the other data if it's useful. Note this is for info only as it was never intended to be an editor as a) it defeats the hands-on nature of the machine (imho!), and b ...

Electribe EMX-1 pattern & song organiser

Am working on a simple utility for organising patterns & songs for an EMX-1. Not an editor but helps to shuffle stuff around and avoids thrashing the rotary dial :) More developments later, but screenshots and a beta download are here if it's of any use (Windows PC only, or the usual windows ...

5 synths in parallel on EMX-1

New owner of EMX-1 so just starting to explore - what a great machine! Tried some experiments with Sequetron's channel multiplier; connect EMX-out to Sequetron to EMX-in.
Here's a quick snippet of 5 PCM organ sounds played live.

Sequetron sequencer goes solo - video demo

This was just a bit of fun using Sequetron to drive itself, showing how a series of MIDI 'notes' can be used to record, playback & control further sequences.

Wonders of the Universe vs A Minor Excursion

Check out the new BBC2 series 'Wonders of the Universe', starting tonight 9:00pm, with prof Brian Cox. It might help make sense of 'A Minor Excursion', whose lyrics were inspired by these amazing wonders. See if he keeps to the plot, from track 5 at least , especially what stars get up to in ...

The Sequetron plays microKORG

Update 8-July - new video showing microKORG keyboard driving some drum samples & a synth Split screen shows how everything is driven by the keyboard. Audio is a bit quiet so may need to turn it up, sorry! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=murtj4J7RIE Hi, thought you might be interested in some videos I ...

The Sequetron - musical keyboard instrument

Anyone tried the Sequetron yet? There have been some major updates recently, and a working version is available on the website. All you need is a PC and a MIDI keyboard. Once it's running, you never need to touch the PC keyboard or mouse - you control everything from the music keyboard (play, record ...

Sequetron MkII for Windows & standard MIDI i/f

Well it's finally been ported to Windows and a basic version is available for testing. It runs ok on Windows XP with a MidiSport 4x4 MIDI-USB interface, and also a Windows 98SE PC with an old basic MIDI card. I've also tried it on a Vista machine; it started up ok, but there were no MIDI devices on ...

Bit of a long shot as I don't know the XL, so this may be a load of b**x!.... but if Korg have implemented MIDI like the Triton or Karma, then changes won't take place until you send a subsequent program change command. i.e. you need to send the bank select commands followed by a program change ...
