OK I have started practicing on the RK100S-II keytar, and I found that unlike every keytar I ever played on, it is possible to use a different technique where instead of wrapping your left hand underneath the short ribbon you can set your left hand on top and get some good control over the short ...

Korg RK100S II Editor
I bought this RK100s-II some months ago but it took all this time to get the editor working. Now that it is working, I am trying to figure things out. I can't find a manual for the RK100S-II editor, only finding documentation for the older RK100S (without the -II or -2 if you prefer). When I edit a ...

Hello, I was on vacation and now I am back but things still did not work. I will attach information that I got from YouTube videos. It says on Windows 11 you don't need to install anything and it will work, but I tried uninstalling the Korg USB driver and it shows an Audio Device when I connect and ...

Since I have not received the help I need here on this forum, I kept trying to find some better help on the Korg website. I went back and forth with several tech people at Korg without success. It is clear to me that the current version of the Korg MIDI driver installer does not work the current ...

I have been communicating back and forth with Korg without success about the MIDI driver for the current Windows 10 Home OS. It simply does not work. This is the very first Korg product I ever bought, and right now after several months the experience has been very bad! Anyone who is thinking about ...

No matter what I do the driver is now installed in position #3 but it always says corrupted and it does not work. I can uninstall it, but when I try to install the software always says "Device is not connected, connect device first" but as soon as I connect the Keytar, it will install the 'corrupted ...

This is getting really difficult now. I noticed a driver that I didn't recognize, a tevirtualMIDI driver in the position #3, but I couldn't find any uninstall for that. I did remember something called loopMIDI that I think I never needed so I uninstalled it. When I run the Korg Uninstall again, now ...

When I click on Auto scan to make it 'unchecked' the box below it says MIDI IN "Not use MIDI IN device" MIDI OUT "Not use MIDI OUT device" and it doesn't load All Data when I try to do that. If I open the Uninstall utility, without uninstalling anything, it shows the Korg driver is #10 and it says ...

Korg RK100S II Editor
I downloaded all the software from the Korg website, The Editor is Version 1. I tried to follow all the directions to install the Korg USB MIDI driver properly. When I turn on the RK100S II my Windows 10 computer makes that little melody that indicates a USB device has attached. If I run the Korg ...

Yes, I read the manual. Using the short ribbon for pitch would be the normal way to make pitch bends in more or less the way all other synthesizers do it. Then the long ribbon, which is unique to the RK100S, will not help with modulation. Choosing the long ribbon for pitch is no help to someone who ...

Performing on the RK-100S II keytar
On most instruments there are two separate ribbon/wheels for pitch and modulation, but the RK-100S II has only one ribbon and you have to choose one or the other. Having played synthesizer for 50 years, I am so accustomed to having the two it is quite difficult to now only have one. I had thought I ...

RK-100S II MIDI Bank Select
The MIDI Implementation Chart indicates the Bank Select message is used, but there is no clarification on how it is used. Since the keytar has 200 programs, the Bank Select must be used. Does anyone know, are there two banks of 100 patches each, or one bank of 128 and a second bank of 72 patches ...

I found that the WIDI master works when attached to the RK-100S II MIDI out I have it sending Bluetooth MIDI to a WIDI Jack on my Roland SE-02 It seems like the MIDI Implementation Chart indicates a plethora of MIDI commands that the RK-100S II will receive but only from the USB, so I still have ...
