Just a WAG but sounds like the encoder needs to be replaced. If it's still under warranty I'd contact Korg to see if it can be fixed.

I believe that is, indeed, the only way. Currently.

Reading the literature I can find for the Wavestate Mk II it states that the Mk II software, samples, programs, and performances is compatible with the original Wavestate. So does the Mk II software = version 2.1.3? Or is there a download available for the original Wavestate that upgrades everything ...

Maybe I've missed this in the manual - is there a way to find all of the destinations modulated by a given source? Like selecting knob Mod 1 (as an example) and listing all the destinations affected by it?

Responding to my own post, above; I was able to get everything to work by rolling back to version 2.0.1, making sure the Wavestate was set to NCM, updating the Windows NCM network driver, then re-loading firmware 2.1B and it all works as it should.
