Player 2 question
I had yet to use Player 2 before, so I decided to make changes to the style and keyboard set entries of an existing Songbook entry in the same manner as I had for Player 1. I immediately went back into Songbook, and saw that the changes made to Player 2 were there. The following day, I went to that ...

Re: Changing beats per measure on Pa5X
Anthony - thank you for taking the time to answer my question and explaining the steps. I am basically looking to change a factory setting for a particular song in Songbook, so it sounds like this cannot be done. Also admittedly, the steps that you've outlined are way above my knowledge level as far ...

Changing beats per measure on Pa5X
When playing a song with 4 beats per measure, is it possible to have the "break" key only last for 2 beats? There are a few 2/4 measures in "Hey Jude" that I can't get the timing correct. I've looked through the Pa5X manual but was unable to locate. Thank you in advance...

Re: Expression pedal with PA5X
Thank you for opening my eyes, as I didn't realize that there was a knob - particularly on a $20 pedal. I do see that it makes a difference but need to play with it a bit more to get it right. Appreciate everyone's helpful responses...

Expression pedal with PA5X
After watching one of the terrific Korg webinars by Keyboard Academy, I purchased an inexpensive expression pedal to add to my PA5X. I'm finding that regardless of the curve choices in the menu, as I increase pressure on the pedal, it jumps from silence to a sound level which isn't smooth at all. It ...

Master Effects question
Hi. I recently watched a KeySound video which explained how to modify sounds including reverb decay and wet/dry. As a home user, these master effects had not been explored by me prior to the video. I was able to follow the tutorial and was pleased with the modified sound. Since there are presumably ...

Keyboard Academy
I just stumbled upon Keyboard Academy on YouTube which has a series of videos which highlight features on the Korg PA series. I incorrectly assumed that these were to highlight features of the PA5X, however some of these features are also on the PA700 and PA1000. For a home player like myself who ...

Country styles song help
Hi. I love the country styles on my PA1000 but unfortunately I don't know many country songs. (Songbook is only loaded with a few country covers.). If someone could please recommend a few songs that are a good match with some of the country styles, I would greatly appreciate it. Old, new, fast or ...

Purchasing advice
I currently own a PA1000 which I purchased three years ago and is strictly for home use. In all honesty, there are many features that I will ever use or need. I find the Songbook to be extremely resourceful as I otherwise find it difficult to match styles to specific songs. If money were no object ...

Factory vs. Direct sound volumes
In addition to the factory sounds on my PA1000, I've downloaded some of the free Korg sounds which are in my "direct" tab. I find however that if I'm playing a factory sound but switch mid-song to one of the direct sounds, the volume is much louder. Is the intent to only play direct sounds together ...

Christmas Styles
Randelph, I've only had the PA 1000 for a short time, and trying to figure the same. Here's what I've come up with that sounds good to me while playing... Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Ritz Swing Jingle Bell Rock - 50's Rock Do You Hear What I Hear (not on your list) - Kids Movie Ballad (from a ...

Footswitch
Thanks to all with your suggestions - I certainly learned something about the electronics from B. Safe's response. There are sustain pedals ranging from $20 - $60. Unless anyone has a specific recommendation on brand or type, I'll likely spend on the higher end which presumably is better made ...

Duby 2, A light switch only needs to be pressed (or toggled) one time to turn either on or off. My footswitch requires two rapid presses which apparently need to be perfectly timed. If I wait too long, it won't react at all, while sometimes it jumps two variations. If a sustain pedal does the trick ...
