I've got a rather odd conundrum. It should be an intuitive thing; just adjust the EG\Releas e knob to adjust the MIDI release sent out from the keyboard. But it doesn't change a thing. If there is distortion when using headphones, with the volume set very low, then that doesn't seem right. It might be down to a hardware issue, but it is probably worth doing a factory reset first. The M50's output level is quite "hot". What is the setup being used? Headphones, PA, HiFi system? Could it be the audio system being used is overloaded? For me, with headphone listening, the main volume slider is rarely above the first or second marker on the scale printed next to it. I'm using ...

I've changed from a Yamaha MX61 to a KORG M50, and one thing I've noticed, is that the M50 is extremely loud even with the volume slider at the very first bar.
