Your better I think with 'song styles' which are already named . The demo version is ok but not ideal, you can only work on one set at a time and yes...it is aged, I also found it stunted and hard work to drag and drop so i gave up with it. There is a new version now, but not available in the 'lite ...

Loading user styles
Well ....at last Peter, we are not 'home alone' !!! Nice to see some comments at last on this issue we have been banging on about for a couple of years! It's ok being able to load user styles IF you can find a decent set to actually load! It beggars belief that one of the style houses have not yet ...

I had an EK50 from the getgo... Super board for the money!! and nice keybed. I just changed to the i3 - Same OS as EK50 but MUCH better spec and more workstation functions for little more money, but it does NOT have on-board speakers, which can be a plus or minus for some....it does help with the ...

Hi Musicmaker84 - Not sure, but i recon harmony is the same, its not a feature I use myself. It seems to be the very same OS as the EK. I tend to use the i3 with my Yamaha for additional lead voices on the fly, which is great. i do like the fact it has 4 style performance sets unlike the EK for when ...

Liking the i3
Having had an EK50 - and comparing the spec, it took me a while to decide if i would like the differences. Have to say it was worth the move up, to gain more workstation features. There are even more functions though which require 'shift' which is a pity but hopefully if this could be resolved with ...

Thanks Harry - sounds like you are busy!! yes i get your point re saving fav. custom sts would be good, although you could not do that on the EK either I just used to use a bank of set lists but you are a bit limited with 10 x 4 on the ek ( 10 x 5 on the i3 ) and you have to save to usb and reload ...

hi Harry - I bit the bullet and got an i3 ....delighted!! Cheap as well at £429 !! I have asked korg UK if they would consider making 'shift' a pedal option - which for me would be a no brainer. ( have mentioned in other posts ) Unless you save to set, it is difficult on the fly to use this 2 handed ...

Re: Korg i3
I would like to ask you what kind of sounds (instruments for upper1) you have for style 112? Do you have "Waltz Musette" or "Army Band" at style number 246? Best regards, Jerzy
I just received my i3 ....its great!! My 246 style slot is Army Band - i am BTW on version 1.5 If ...

Really pleased!
Nice board for the low price. great key action and all the arranger choices of the PA50 /EK50 + MORE!! I am delighted - using with my Yamaha SX I mailed Korg to see if they would consider adding 'shift' as a pedal function ....will see what they say . UK have passed it on to Japan so it looks ...

back to the thread topic here - I have asked korg if it is possible to make 'shift' a pedal function For me this would be a real bonus for 'on the fly' I also own an i3 and it would be even more useful with that! the is EK and Xe all share the same OS so it would be useful as an option on all models ...

yes ...they are in 6 blocks of 16 loading from 901 on Just to clarify ... you get ONE hit to load and it is not possible to edit the styles onboard or rename, as it is only an entry board. I have not loaded any for a while now, but as i remember one block seemed to overwrite the pervious loaded and ...

Thanks for your reply ... I am more into Yamaha than Korg ...so just assumed it would be much the same situ. as their Playlist/music finder functions, which work in the same way as songbook. Where you have a 'bog standard base list' ( just basic templates ) and then edit and resave your own tweaks ...
