Sorry I was thinking of my Roland FA 07 I meant layer mode (piano/string for example) in Yamaha MX 61

I want to use the Korg weighted keys to make the Yamaha MX61 sound via midi but sometimes when in layer mode only the piano plays not the strings I want both activated by the Krome

when I midi my Krome 88 into my Yamaha MX61 is there an easy way to bring the Yamaha down thru the Krome in dual mode(Yamaha dual mode) in other words use the Korg as Keys only the Yamaha MX61 as main sound wanted a MX88 but couldn't afford it but I want to use the Krome to control all the MX61 any ...

I would suggest either filter the control in the Motif, or change the knob to not associate it with a MIDI CC#. Thanks downtownpaulyp so how do I do that exactly??? I have programmed all my user tones with some having separate volumes on the #2 knob on the Krome,when midi out to my Yamaha Motif XS rack the volume #2 knob affects the sound in the motif. So I turned control change off on krome global midi section.Now the motif is not affected by volume anymore ...

Thanks Cowboy yeah that's what I've been doing taking pictures of the tones original effects and copying them to the best way I can in the effects mode in combi it's pretty close but it's a lot more work....

Could be right but don't understand why they give you the option when downloading the tone in user with the effects option box checklist????

Why does the one cancel out the other when
Layering 2 tones in the effects section?
Ie layer piano with effects then layer a pad with effects piano loses effects???
I make sure effect boxes are checked before loading the tone into the user mode but still one cancels out the other???

The manual isn't complex but a lil above my head in some subjects.... Im used to My Motif and Nord manuals where its more user friendly.
