did you ever figure out the startup button sequence to go into diagnostics mode? I have a similar issue on my D1200 recorder, which gets stuck at boot up. Let me know if you can point me in the direction of helpful advice.

Hey Blastin, Are you still recording with your D1200? How's she working? Mine is not booting up, just hanging at the image at startup. If I can't get it repaired, I'd give you my KA 210 power cord. Having similar issue, when powering up, machine won't get past initial boot up images...I'd like to get it working enough to copy songs onto my computer, or another HD. Suggestions appreciated!
