Re: Karma experts
just add an envelope to the amp section of the Timpani HD1 program ... Another way is to assign aftertouch or the joystick (JS+Y) to the amp level. You can do this in the AMP-Mod tab. Since the roll is created by rapidly alternating attacks, wouldn't the amp envelope be useless for this? I assume ...

The Integra-7 is a great little box, especially for the price they are now going for. You do not need an ipad to work with the Integra-7. I don't own one, and I've done extensive sound creation and editing from the front panel. There might be computer editors, but I see no need for one. Like any ...

My guess is the Kronos will be the KORG flagship for at least another two years. There really isn't anything else on the market like it. There are a few improvements I would like to see in the successor to the Kronos. The first would be to add non-volatile Flash as found in the Motif XF and Kurzweil ...

Re: Love the Berlin piano
Are you sure that you've got what Igor meant ? You're right, I didn't grasp what the topic was here - sorry. While a 2 Oscillator subtractive engine is a classic way to create analog synth patches it isn't sufficient to create realistic expressive sampled instruments. At the other extreme is the ...

Re: Love the Berlin piano
Apparently many developers have to use combi mode, instead of just creating a program. Isn't the whole point of the Kronos that it has nine synthesis engines that can be combined in infinite ways? From my point of view using combi mode is the entire point of the instrument. Also the notion that two ...

All the resources mentioned here are invaluable. It can be very intimidating starting to work with a machine as complex and powerful as the Kronos. Another way to approach learning the instrument is to stop thinking about how much there is to learn, and instead focus on simple, specific things you ...

This does not sound like faulty cables. Two cables failing at the same time, and then suddenly working again after a reboot? It's helpful to keep a set of headphones when this sort of thing happens, as this will tell you right away if the sound engine is working and if there's a problem with the ...

I am hoping that Korg will allow current Kronos owners this update for free. ~T.J. I do think that the Berlin D library should be free to the early adopters of this technology, those whose substantial investments paved the way for later users. Unfortunately I don't think the old Korg Oasys boards ...

I'm also considering getting a Kronos and am having difficulty determining whether it makes more sense to buy a used 1st generation and do a few hardware upgrades or to buy one of the new ones. I'm interested in a 61-note model so I don't believe the issues with the defective weighted keybeds in the ...

Just to clarify my point, if Korg does indeed wait until the new Kronos 2s are being delivered before making the Berlin Grand library available to legacy Kronos owners I will still think that they deserve much praise for their policy of making it possible for people who purchased an instrument in ...
