Well, got my microSTATION today!!! Boy, do I have work to do. Will be doing lots of programming on the following days. I'll keep you updated on how I manage to replicate the M50 patches using MS multi samples.

I already found some awesome leads, particularly the Mini lead from the Wavestation, that Tony Banks used in Fading Lights, there is a sound called DDL SyncLd on bank C126 which is very similar. In fact, good enough for me.
And there is another lead, called DW8000Lead on bank C113 which is also very similar to the old Arp Pro Soloist leads. It just needs a tiny bit of portamento.

Question: Have anyone found any good Mellotron sound? I'm looking for Choir and Strings.

Thanks

Got them both already. Cool set of sounds in there. Thanks.

BTW, I just found this thread, which explains how to emulate one of the hardest sounds in progressive, which is the Mellotron sound on Genesis Watcher of the Skies, and turns out that both wave samples are inside the MS. Last night, I followed his instructions, and I'm really pleased with the results. Finally I have a very close sound. It will never be like the real thing, since someone mentioned that the Mellotron had a way to combine two sounds by moving a slider, and that is almost impossible to emulate with samples, unless is a sample of that specific setting, but well. Is close enough for me.

Thanks again.
