Hello.

No I'm afraid not. The Trinity has a different sound engine than the KRONOS. An advanced user could emulate a Trinity sound, but it would take quite a lot of effort even for an advanced user to recreate a single sound.

Shame really. The Trinity is a iconic instrument with a very unique fat sound.

Regards
Sharp.

I was thinking that if Kronos reads .pcm files shouldn't it read Trinity too..?

If your talking about Trinity disks KORG sold which were PCM based, then the answer would still be no.

The Trinity used a lossless 2:1 compression which no other workstation can read. KORG compressed all their disks.

If your taking about generic Trinity sounds that are sample based, you could load the samples but the PCG program would not load. Even if you manually typed in the settings one by one, the KRONOS HD-1 engine would not respond the same was as the Tinity ACCESS engine. So the sounds would still be way off even if you had access to the PCM data.

Anyway you look at this, it won't work without doing manual work on each individual sound, and you will never recreate an exact copy. It will only ever be an emulation. So it all depends on how close to the original you want the sounds.

Regards
Sharp.

Does Kronos have the trinitys pcm/samples/wavs on its vast internal sound memory So you could put the instruments aside and start manually replicating sounds from existing building blocks So to speak?
