Merry Christmas to one and all.
Is there someone who can give me direction on how to change octaves for combis and splits within Kronos.
Creating combi and splitting sounds is fairly straightforward however i've came to a stop when I try and change the octave levels within the combi.
Many thanks for any help that can be provided. |

From the main Combi page, select the 3rd lower tab, "Timbre Parameter".
Then choose the 3rd upper tab, "Pitch". The top range of setting is "Transpose", which you can individually set for each track of your combi.
COMBI
Timbre Parameter > Pitch > Transpose |

Many thanks for that. I was looking at that thinking it was purely a key transpose however if you go transpose low or high enough if gives you an octave shift.
Many thanks |

If I am not mistaken, the Kronos allows you to transpose as much as +/- 60 half steps. That's 5 octaves! _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

Yet with v3.02 ...
No dedicated octave + & - "soft" button
there's a perfect spot at the bottom of the display in program. Combi and setlist for this option!
a lot of the work I do is auditioning sounds. Let's say for instance as my left hand is changing patches, my right is riffing a on a program or combi . I want to quickly try a bass sound for example either in the lower register or as a lead with a high pass. Same with strings, synths and many times drums and percussion, etc. Then if I am using omnisphere or any other vst, and I quickly want to audition 6 octaves to familiarize the sound as well. Doing that for hours requires minimal movement! Instead of a parameter tone adjustment to have a universal octave adjustment would and should be critical to a true workstation as on Motif, Nord, Roland -my old juno 106!
Sw1 and Sw2 are set up for this. For most of the accoustic pianos only. Am I expected to reprogram the remaining 95% of the patches to have that feature ? Just my gripe , and I'm not giving up hope! P _________________ www.philbennett.org

When i want to go through a bank of new patches i assign a footpedal for stepping through the list of patches. This way i have both hands free for playing and testing the sounds. _________________ Best regards, Robert
