Instead of doing a recall & fixing all the hardware problems of the original kronos they fixed it without fixing it by fixing the hardware problems motherboard ,overheating, keybed etc etc & packaged it up as the all new kronos its the same kronos all they did was fix the original kronos without fixing it so if u want your original kronos fixed then you'll have to buy the fixed kronos that's also why the new kronos is named Kronos not kronos 2 because it's the original kronos they just fixed the hardware problems slick move korg. |

I have a Kronos 73 with zero motherboard problems, zero overheating problems, zero keybed problems or "all the hardware problems" you don't name.
So at the moment my only problem is trying to understand what you are talking about, Harpernet. Do you own a Kronos? Or do you want to buy a Kronos?
Or what exactly is your problem? _________________ Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5 |

I've had zero of these problems with my Krons X 88.
But improved products, newer versions of a product, and upgraded products always will implement the things they've found to be a problem on the prior version.
Yes, the topic is Kronos and if you are unhappy sorry for that. But for me, I'm very pleased at the level of quality and support I have received from this keyboard and Korg. |

Jim thank you for the info this is great news that you have never had any hardware problems with the kronos the local music store sales person told me not to buy the kronos he said it had lots of hardware problems so I bought a used one instead. This makes for a great topic im curious if anyone has/had hardware problems with the kronos because you can't always trust what the sales person has to say |

Apart from the well-known keyboard problem, what was there to fix anyway? There is no specific motherboard problem, no overheating problem, no PSU problem. There is a rate of failure of components I guess, but probably not any different from your average computer series.
Presumably you must be disappointed with your Kronos for whatever reason, but understand that the majority of us do not recognise what you say here as being true.
Secondly, listening to the salesman and not buying a new Kronos, but getting a used one instead was a very smart move. Indeed, instead of buying a machine known for its failure rate but supplied with a warranty, you bought a used one with no warranty instead.
Have I missed anything? _________________

I've had the initial early keyboard problem (K88), which was fixed to my satisfaction. Once my RAM popped out, but I clicked it back in and fixed the mobo screws in place.
No stability issues or overheating issues or any other hardware issues, been gigging it multiple times a week for two and a half years now.
With all due respect, your original post isn't really inviting a lot of constructive conversation. You make a lot of unsubstantiated claims and then somehow seem to accuse Korg of... What exactly? What are you looking for here? |

We bought three Kronos 88 for a show I was working on, and they were doing 8 shows a week plus rehearsals for 6 months solid initially.
I had the action replaced in one of them by Korg (and they loaned us another Kronos while they did the work) - the other two seemed fine. And no other problems with motherboard/overheating etc. _________________ Kronos² / Nautilus / KingKorg / RK-100s / CX3 / Logic / ProTools / Sibelius |

If there is no hardware problems with the original kronos then why put out the same kronos with better hardware such as better motherboard keybed vents for overheating |
