The display screen is black on my PA1X. When powered on the hard drive starts and within a minute or so the leds come on and I can play the piano so I know everything is working except for the display. I've adjusted the contrast button both ways and it makes no difference.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Already done. Took the top off to see if I could see something obvious such as a blown fuse. No luck. Willing to try any suggestions you have. |

I had problems with mine - the screen would intermittently change without touching it.
I ended up having to tighten the frame the held the screen in but in your case I wondered if it might be a connection/cable issue or if in fact the screen itself has died.
If you decide to remove the screen itself, please take great care and ensure you have an anti-static device attached etc...
Take photos as you progress so that you can replace everything correctly when putting it back together.
I decided to go ahead and try to fix mine as the best quote I had for a replacement screen was $1,000 (without labour!!)
Good luck
Hope you find a solution.

I will give these suggestions a try. I'm in the hospital for a week or so for a heart procedure but I'll try them when I get home. Will let you know if I have any success.
If there is anyone else with similar problems then I would appreciate any and all suggestions.
