Hi,
I'm kind of confused. The sequencer does not operate in a way I would expect.
here's what is happening:
I record a part for measures 1-8. After this is done and quantized, I'd like to move the sequencer start time to measure 9 and record a different part to follow the first 8 measures.
The most obvious thing to do is to use the FWD button to scroll up to the desired measure, but this does not work.
This is a really basic thing you would expect to be able to do with a sequencer.
Advice? _________________ muse{sik} www.ghostly.com/artists/jdsy

If I remember correctly, any time you press the record button, it starts recording at whatever the "Locate" point is in the "Song Command" settings. By default is on the first measure, so try changing that a later point in the song.
It's been a while since I've did any heavy song editing on the microSTATION, so I can't say this is 100% true. The work flow was too slow to me so now I just record my MIDI sequences from a DAW in one solid track. _________________ Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin |
