Hi, are you sure this is really called Performance Pack?
I own my PA1XPRO for a very long time and have hever heared about that.

What is the content of this pack?
Where do you have your information from?

Maybe you mean the Power Pack?

Please answer for clarification.

No. The PA1XPro and PA1X were very similar. Performance pack was an add-on and NOT officially supplied by Korg.
The "Elite" version of the PA1XPro merely included the CD drive and MP3 board (and maybe extra RAM but can't remember) otherwise it is identical to the PA1XPro.

Cheers

This was only the OS and the musical resources.
No additional stuff. I think somebody wanna make money there for nothing.

I remember that the guy from the video showed this pack 1 year on Musikmesse in Frankfurt but the quality wasn´t really good.

Only some style and sounds no one needs Wink

I was thinking, you know how Korg renames a sound or style sometimes, when it includes it in a new instrument? It's possible that some of the stock Pa-1x v.3.01 sounds and styles are the ones in this "Performance Pack" - but just renamed?

Correct me if I am wrong but I seem to remember now that this was ONLY supplied to UK customers who bought the keyboard and there was a lot of upset about it not being available to anyone else...

…or am I thinking of something similar?

Hi Pete,

Yes, the PP being 'UK only' rings a bell with me, too, and it did cause a bit of a schmozzle at the time, IIRC.

BTW, if anyone can name some of the styles that came with the Performance Pack, can you please list a few on here. I bought my Pa1Xpro used and would like to know if the PP is in mine. Also, what was in the Golden Entertainer package?

Cheers, Giner

For the Golden Entertainer.
This is not only software - so there will be an additional hardware module (expansion board) within your key.
An extra software package is then on top to make the PA1X to the best sounding Key Korg ever had.

I tell you all that my 8 year old PA1X with this golden entertainer board sound much much better than the PA600.

Thanks, Wittid. I guess both the Golden Entertainer and Performance packages would be long since discontinued by now. I think I would have liked to have had them on my Pa1Xpro, though.

Cheers, Giner
