|
|
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has a diagram and or instructions on how to run external audio into the ms20 mini?
I want to run a drum machine into it and I can't figure out how to do it without depressing a key. I want to run the external signal clean/into the keyboard so I can play along with it.
I have tried the method in marc's video series and I hade trouble seeing the patch bay so I had no luck there. I even tried the method in the manual but still not working. If anyone could offer some basic solution to a newbie l would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance! |

Connect the REV OUT output from ENVELOPE GENERATOR 1 to the INITIAL GAIN at the top left of the patch panel. The inverted envelope will trigger the sound continuously. Turn down the volume of both Oscillators if needed. _________________ Korg MS-20 Kit, Korg MS-20 mini, Korg KingKorg, Korg Volca Series (Beats, Bass, Keys), Korg Kronos 61, Korg X50, Korg Triton Extreme 76 (96MB RAM, MOSS), Korg MS2000B, Korg monotron series (classic, duo, delay), Korg monotribe, Kawai K5000W, Nord Stage 88, Nord Electro 2, Nord Modular G2X, Nord Lead 3, Novation X-Station, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air

I tried that set up and I did hear the drums but they were fairly quiet and the keyboard notes were still sounding and/or droning the whole time. I'll keep at it. |

i think you should patch audio out from your drummachine into `external audio input` on ms20 (somewhere on the top of the patch panel, i think left from the HPF input...but im not sure it will work |

Try the following:
1. Drum machine audio to ESP Signal In
2. ESP Out to EXT Signal In
3. ESP Trig Out to KBD Trig In
4. Turn ESP Threshold Level knob to 10
With the Threshold at ten, it should overdrive the audio coming in to where it will produce a constant trigger. If not, then just go back to what you were doing in your first post and use a piece of tape to hold down a key, haha. _________________ Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin |
