Looking at the Kross video he recorded audio in program mode . How will this work in sequencer mode? Like the Kronos except audio records to SD card? How wil, for example vocals be assigned to a track in sequencer mode?
Thanks |

The info states merely stereo audio recording. I'm assuming that actually means stereo, not 16x mono like the Kronos. They would definitely have advertised with that. |

Hi,
This concept is little bit different. Audio recording mean your voice, your guitar, your sequencer, programs, combis. So after you mix the midi tracks , can record your seq on audio and add your lead voice, backing voices, your guitar or so...
This is sound on sound. |

So each 'take' overwrite and combines with the previous one? Is there still an 'undo' feature? _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

The recording is multi track. If you rec 7 tracks can see the tr 001/007, track 002/007 and if you want to replace something, select the track nr..00x and record from measure 24 for example. It is much easier than you think.
Each track have a undo function.
Mr. Steve McNally make a great video tutorial please check:

Dan, I've been trying that out and I think it's a little different. Yes, there is an UNDO Function, but what it does is Undo ALL Tracks from that Track and Upwards. So if you record 7 Tracks, and press Undo 003/007, it won't just mute track 3, it will mute tracks 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I haven't tried punching in on a track yet, but that does sound like a cool feature. |

Dan, I did some more experimenting and it's not quite as encouraging as you wrote. Here's what I found:
Yes, you can go back and rerecord on Track 007/009 (the 7th of the 9 tracks you have recorded in your Song.)
But once you do that, as soon as you hit Stop, the Display now shows 008/008 - meaning you have 'lost' your old tracks 7, 8 and 9.
And you can't undo that Undo to bring back your old Tracks 7,8,9.
Next I'll look on the SD Card to see if maybe those tracks are still there and can be transfered to computer, or imported back into the Sound on Sound Audio Recording we've been talking about.
HI! I'm back. I pressed Global/Media while holding Exit, and was immediately brought to the Screen with Files on it. SONG 1 was there. It looked like a folder, but there was no way for me to get inside it, to open it up, to see if the 'undid' tracks were still alive somehow in there. |
