IMHO Yes! I have it on my Kronos and I don't use the German Piano anymore since I got it. |

And I think it pales in comparison with the Kronos pianos.
Even the onboard Oasys Piano on the Kronos SSD sounds better to me than that one. _________________ Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5 |

I was just thinking this is so subjective. And how do you quantify if the price is worth it? If it sounds terrible but it gets you the $2K gig, it is worth it, or if you just love the sound. |

I couldn't justify the paying out for it.
If it is better than all the kronos pianos its not by much. and its still just an oppinion. You would want to be REALLY fussy about your pianos. |

What sounds good is subjective. It's good that you can download sound libraries from the Korg site to check them out for yourself rather than relying solely on audio demos to make a decision. The bummer of going that route is when you buy one of the Korg libraries it's only for that Kronos and is non-transferable to another one if you decide to switch to another size Kronos. Ultimately it's up to the person who is buying the piano library whether it's worth it or not. |

I have the K-Sounds C7 for my Motif XS. It's pretty sweet, it's sampled very well and plays beautifully - very dynamic, particularly the patches programmed for Motif's performance mode. I have Ivory and Pianoteq 4 as well, and the Motif K-Sounds C7 is right in there in the same league IMHO. It's frikkin brilliant for a piano that weighs in just shy of 500 MB in Motif format - nice variety of timbres too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NsQIEjCo0E ...as always, the youtube audio fails to do justice to the depth and richness of this piano. As well, the slight digital hum heard in between demos is of course non-existent when actually playing these sounds on Motif _________________ Current Korg apparatus: MicroStation, MicroKorg, MicroSampler, WaveDrum, Trinity V3, M1REX, Wavestation SR, X5DR, Original Legacy Collection w/ MS-20 controller, iMS-20, DS-10 Plus x2, ELECTRIBE Rhythm Mk ll, iELECTRIBE, Kaossilator, padKONTROL, MicroKONTROL, NanoKey, NanoKontrol, Stage Echo SE-300 |

I've found that all Kronos SGX piano patches needed to be adjusted to sound better , factory settings doesn't sound as good as tweaked
Hope that K-sounds allow that adjustments too _________________ KronosX 88, RME HDSP 9652, Sennheiser HD600, Cubase AI6 |

What I think an interesting thought or concept is this....
If you use ksounds piano and its on par with Kronos... You pay a nice price for the piano but do you gain TONS on sample space back into your RAM since you would then be able to unload the German and the Japanese grand? I actually like the Austrian better....but it's not even present in my auto load file because the German allows the best bang for the buck to me. (Sound quality and sample space that it takes up....)
Interesting thought huh? _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.
